You Matter No Matter What

You Matter No Matter What

Do you feel like you have to earn your place here on earth?

Do you feel like no matter what you do it’s not good enough?

Do find judgment is stopping you from trying new things?

Do you have a strong inner critic telling you that what you’re doing isn’t enough?

Are you constantly seeking external validation to provide you reassurance?

Some of us had childhoods that taught us that we were a burden, that we were in competition with other people to earn love and appreciation, some of us never received the validation in childhood that would have set us up for a life not seeking it. Those stories that we created out of those moments aren’t the truth, you are not a burden, you are just as worthy as your siblings, and you matter no matter what anyone else says or does.

Are You Letting Your Trauma Prevent You From Seeking Help?

Are You Letting Your Trauma Prevent You From Seeking Help?

Do you say I’m fine a lot when you really need some help?

Do you often state I can do it on my own?

Do you say don’t worry I can do it, when someone offers you help?

Do you feel like a burden when asking for help?

What’s common about all those statements above is that they are your trauma wounds speaking. Ones that you had to develop when no one came to help you when you were younger.

What Else Is Possible? What Are You Limiting Because You Think It Is Impossible?

I have been participating in a program that keeps asking what else is possible as a standard, not as an exception.

This is a 90-day program although it is stretches over 5 months because there is an allowance for integration. In today’s session part of the focus was on what are you limiting because you either think that it is impossible or that you will get a no so therefore you don’t ask. I found this an intriguing question because I think that many of us don’t believe that we can have what we ask for.

Who Are We In Relationships Through A Human Design Lens

Who Are We In Relationships Through A Human Design Lens

Human design has interested me on many levels. Part of this interest has been the layers that you can dive into if you want. Not everyone wants to do the deep dive into it and that is fine if you want to stop at how it can help you make decisions. For me there was this desire to understand myself on a deeper level.

Living Through Your Challenges

Living Through Your Challenges

Challenges are messy, let’s be honest they aren’t fun, but truth be told all of us go through them. I don’t know of anyone that hasn’t had one that has shaped who they are today. However, they create a ripple effect in how we show up in the world. If you’ve had childhood trauma of any description you will have stories that influence how you react and respond when placed in certain situations.

What Has Changed Over The Last 12 Months

The last 12 months have been a journey to say the least. This journey has been life affirming, I am feeling like I can finally start to enjoy life instead of enduring it. That is the power of removing the masks that I have worn in the effort to try and be someone I am not, most notably in the online space.

The Benefits of Being Authentic

You might ask why I bang on about being authentic. It’s pretty simple really, because as long as you are trying to prove yourself, or people please you will continue to live your life for everyone else. You think you are making life easier but actually you are making life harder.

Leading the way

This is not a journey for the faint of heart.

It is one that will test and challenge you.

It will make you grow.

The wisdom found will humble you.

It will test your courage.

It will ask you what do you stand for.

It will challenge you in ways you were not expecting.

Why It’s Worth Working On Yourself

I have found that working on myself has bought so many benefits to my life.  It has made life easier and more peaceful, not only for me, but for the people around me.

Was it always easy, no definitely not. But I learnt so much about myself through the process.  I learnt that I have so many stories running around in the background (subconscious) that I wasn’t even aware of that created so much resistance in my life.

Grief: The Shadow In The Background

This topic has been showing up a lot over the last few weeks for me.

Most of us think of grief as losing a loved one or a loved pet. But the more that I thought about the concept of grief I have come to realise that it goes deeper than this.

I started to see that it can hit in so many other ways – for me it was about grieving a life I thought I would be living but am not.
