How I Am Honouring My Human Design In My Business
This year I have been deep diving into my human design to know myself on a deeper level so I can show up more authentically in the world. We are conditioned from an early age to be someone we aren't as a consequence of being told that we are too much of something or not enough of something else. We then at some point in our life recognise this and spend the rest of it learning who we are all over again. Human design has helped me immensely to return home to my true self.

I am a 1/3 profile - knowing this has allowed me to deep dive into those topics I get interested in without feeling guilty that's the number one line. I have learned to embrace the 3 line with experimentation in my business this year in particular. I have tried a few things, left them and tried some others which I have kept such as the Authenticity circle.
I am a single definition, so I am primarily designed to work 1:1 or in small groups and I finally recognised that this is true for me. It's no surprise to me now that I am a myotherapist who works 1:1 and really haven't had a strong desire to scale my business. Second to this when doing group work, I can see that small groups work best for me to get the sense of connection that I am looking for.
I have caves as my environment so again a room with one entrance that I can controlled works best - surprise, surprise that's what happens with my myotherapy sessions, one door in, one client at a time so I feel safe to do the work I am here to do. If I am not in a room with only one entrance having my back to a wall will provide the stability that I am looking for in a space.
I am a manifesting generator, so I have a couple of things on the go at once to keep me inspired and interested in the work that I do. I no longer apologies for having multiple interest and most of them intersect in one way or another. Like my nutrition background helps inform my myotherapy sessions if clients aren't responding to soft tissue work, I can have a conversation about how their food maybe contributing to their pain experience from an inflammatory perspective.
My conscious sun gate is 49 the gate of principles and this shows up in how I market my business, it shows me what I stand for and what I won't entertain any more. I will not put myself in places that ask me to dishonour my principles. This gate has the potential to force people to determine what they stand for as well as I act as a mirror to their decision making.
I have 2 defined motors in my human design chart those of the sacral and will centres. With these two centres I have the energy for short to medium term projects. This is why I don't have a 12-month container for my clients my sessions are single with no packages so that clients can determine their frequency and I don't get bored with a longer-term container.
My defined will centre means that typically once I commit to something I will finish it. Only once has this not happened with a life coaching course 20+ years ago. For some they call it being stubborn, but I understand the energy of a making a commitment and this comes from my will centre.
My defined throat centre allows me to have a voice that is consistent, I do like to talk as well.
I have the 23/43 channel defined which is commonly called the freak to genius channel. I have this channel twice in my unconscious side which is why some people will either see some of what I have to say as being a little out there or they may just see me as a genius. This channel on my unconscious side means that this isn't about how I see myself but how others might see and perceive me. This is also why some of my ideas might make you think what the heck, but I am ok with that now that I understand it is a part of this channel. Another aspect of this is that I do look at things in a unique way and therefore I can provide people with a different perspective than they may have been exposed to before.
I have the gate 51 the gate of shock twice as well - I am here to awaken people - as part of this gate and in the gene keys this key goes from a shadow of agitation through to the gift of initiative and on to its highest expression of awakening. So, I acknowledge that some of what I have lived through has been a shock but that has also bought with it an awakening of sorts that I share with all of you.
I have been in my Chiron return since May - some say this is your 50's cycle which has a slightly different energy with a 6/2 profile which is all about being the authentic guide which I feel I am definitely moving into. Also, in this chart all my centres are defined so I have consistent access to all the centres traits over this period. I look forward to seeing how this cycle plays out.
Now Looking At My Business Human Design

What you may not know is that your business also has it’s own design. It may be a bit harder to determine when it was “born” per se, but I decided that my business’s date of birth was the day I registered for an ABN. I did get some help to determine time of birth from a business astrology professional.
The interesting thing that came out of this process is that my business balances me out beautifully. A lot of my human design channels get completed by my business’s chart. It also created defined spleen, solar plexus and root centres when combined. I do however still have an open head centre. I created a defined g-centre in my business chart from my chart.
We are both manifesting generators however my business is a 3/5 whereas I am a 1/3. I am a sacral authority but my business is an emotional solar plexus authority which means that it needs to go through an emotional wave of the high and low before making a decision where as me with a sacral response can make a personal decision quickly. I just need to be mindful of what strategy to use when making a decision is it a decision for my business or is it one for me. We both have the 3 which is all about experimenting, but my business adds the 5 energies of a leader. We also have responding as our strategy along with frustration and satisfaction as how to know if we are working in alignment with our design.
We are also both single definition which means that we don’t need a lot of energy from outside of us and can sit in our own energy with ease. When you combine that we have all, but one centre defined it adds to that, we will find solace in our own energy.
Between both our charts there were 5 channels that were made and an extra 3 created, which adds further layers between the two of us.
My business has 4 motor centres so has greater capacity for long term projects than me as I only have 2 which means that it could work with bigger groups as well, I also read this as a strong level of persistence when added with it’s defined will centre. My business has been around for over 20 years and so I would agree it has a persistent energy. It has been through a few iterations and helped me transition through a few workplaces. I therefore need to be mindful of what is my energy and what is my business’s when it comes to creating offers.
My business’s conscious sun gate which is 70% of its personality is gate 37 which is known as the gate of friendship and family which is exactly what my primary focus is in my business which is about creating close connections. I have clients that I have worked with for over 20 years now and many are long term, and I know a lot about them.
We’ve both got gate 9 the gate of focus and I feel this to be true that we are able to focus on task until completion also considering we both have defined will centre this just adds to this gate in my mind.
Between the two of us there is 7 gates defined in the throat centre so are pretty good at expressing ourselves. It is a skill that I have had to work at as part of my deconditioning phase since becoming aware of human design.
The reality is that I could keep on going as human design has many layers but the picture, I wanted to show you is that when focusing on your design it can provide you with an understanding of why you do the things that you do. It can help you to accept yourself as your unique expression because in reality unless you are a twin like me it is highly unlikely that you will find someone who has the exact same chart as you. It also provides a base in which to return to when needed, such as going through changes or finding that you are frustrated or veering off path as a tool to help you return to what is going on. I personally use my charts when seeking clarity to help me decide what I need to focus on in life and business. There are so many ways you could use your chart but primarily it is information that helps you understand yourself more.
